Bu araştırmada Arif Aziz’in sanat eserlerinde rengin estetik ve ontolojik işlevi incelenmektedir. Sanat eserleri duyusal olanın bilişselde kendi içsel varlığında ortaya çıkarma sürecinin özgün eserler üzerinde derin bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Aziz’in doğup büyüdüğü Bakü’nün Şuvelan kasabasının renklerinden beslenen bu zengin kültürel ve görsel birikimin sanatçının varlığında dönüştürdüğü renk yoğunluğu sanat yoluyla duyusal, bilişsel ve varoluşsal süreçte anlam kazandığı bir alan hâline gelmiştir. Bu bağlamda Aziz’in yerel renk olgusu yalnızca görsel bir canlılık veya etkileyicilik değil aynı zamanda kendi kültürel tinini taşıyan nesnel bir gereklilik olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Hegelci estetik perspektiften değerlendirildiğinde, Aziz’in renk kullanımı İdea’nın duyusal form içinde görünür hâle gelmesini sağlayan bir dışsallaştırma süreci olarak okunabilir. Usta sanatçı Aziz doğanın sunduğu renkleri olduğu gibi tekrar eden bir konumda değildir tam aksine doğadaki tikelliği bilişsel ve ruhsal varlığında dönüştürerek sanat eserlerine kendi öznel varlığını katığı görülmektedir. Ayrıca Aziz’in renk anlayışı, Heidegger’in sanatın varlıkta açığa çıkışı olduğu yönündeki yaklaşımıyla kavramsal bir paralellik göstermektedir. Renkler hem yerel ruhun nesnel zemini hem de Aziz’in varlığında yaratıcı özgürlüğüyle yoğrulmuş yüksek bir birlik olarak evrensel düzlemde kendini göstermiştir. Araştırmanın amacı, Aziz’in eserlerini üslup, estetik yapı ve ontolojik anlam katmanları açısından incelemektir. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma doküman desen analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak Aziz’in sanat eserleri salt bir görsel unsur olmaktan çıkarak tin ve ontolojiyle bütünleşen sanat üslubuna anlam üretmiş ve büyük bir derinlik kazandırmıştır.
This study examines the aesthetic and ontological function of color in the artworks of Arif Aziz. Through an in-depth analysis of selected original works, the research explores how the sensory is brought into manifestation within the cognitive realm as an immanent mode of being. Drawing inspiration from the chromatic landscape of Şuvelan, a district of Baku where Aziz was born and raised, the artist transforms a rich cultural and visual heritage into an intensified language of color. This chromatic density acquires meaning through artistic practice, emerging as a field in which sensory, cognitive, and existential processes converge. In this context, Aziz’s engagement with local color is not merely a matter of visual vibrancy or aesthetic impact; rather, it appears as an objective necessity that embodies and conveys his cultural spirit. From a Hegelian aesthetic perspective, Aziz’s use of color can be interpreted as a process of externalization through which the Idea becomes visible within sensuous form. The master artist Arif Aziz does not merely reproduce the colors offered by nature as they are; rather, he transforms natural particularity within his cognitive and spiritual being, infusing his artworks with his own subjective presence. Moreover, Aziz’s understanding of color demonstrates a conceptual parallel with Martin Heidegger’s view of art as a site where Being comes into unconcealment. Colors manifest on a universal plane both as the objective ground of the local spirit and as a higher unity shaped by Aziz’s creative freedom within his own being. The aim of this study is to examine the works of Arif Aziz in terms of style, aesthetic structure, and ontological layers of meaning. İn this study employs a qualitative document analysis method. In conclusion, Aziz’s artworks transcend the status of mere visual elements; they generate meaning through an artistic language integrated with spirit and ontology, thereby attaining profound depth.
