With the increasing importance of digitalization in education, the necessity of developing high-quality electronic educational content that supports learning processes has also gained significance. In this context, animated comics offer an effective alternative as educational materials in the digital environment. Specifically, the integration of character and setting elements with text, visuals, and time elements in animated comic panels allows this form to make teaching processes more comprehensive and interactive. Mobile platforms, on the other hand, allow users to access educational materials and content without the constraints of time and space.
This research aims to examine the educational potential of animated comics on mobile platforms and the integration of digital storytelling into the learning processes. The increasing role of digital and mobile technologies in education, the potential of animated comics to support learning processes by combining visual and textual elements, and the contribution of digital storytelling to interactive learning methods make this research significant. In this context, the research aims to present a detailed analysis of the documents obtained through the relevant literature review, as qualitative research methods allow for the development of a comprehensive understanding of the topic. The research seeks to theoretically highlight how animated comics can function as educational tools, what kind of potentials they may have, create a conceptual foundation in the context of the literature, and lay the groundwork for future applications.
