In the simulative universe where values turn into signs, masses into silent masses, physical existence into consumption, consumption into identity and ostentation, and eyes into screens, the distinction between reality and hyperreality becomes unclear. Images that have no connection with reality are presented as the manifestation of a deep reality, changing and transforming objective reality and hiding the fact that they are not real. Media, which is one of the areas where the concept of reality is widely discussed, provides many conveniences by touching every aspect of the individual's life with its features and the contents it produces, and on the other hand, it causes the line between what is real and what is unreal to become blurred. Especially the widespread use of new media tools brings to the agenda the questioning and discussion of the reality principle of news, which constitutes a significant part of media content. The study aims to examine the reality problem of the news from a critical perspective in the context of Simulation Theory. For this purpose, a comprehensive literature review was conducted by using the literature research method. Based on Baudrillard's Simulation Theory and the original concepts he produced on the axis of the theory, after the relevant concepts were defined and interpreted, the problematic of news as the reality/simulacra of news in the simulative universe was discussed and examined with a critical perspective.
