Mitleri farklı biçimlerde tanımlamak mümkündür. Ancak ortak bir tanım ortaya koymak gerekirse mitler, şeylerin kökenine ve yaratılışa dair ortak mesajlardır denilebilir. Modern insan açısından mitler, kurgu ya da masal gibi görülebilir. Fakat mitlerin gerçeklik boyutu, olayların gerçekliği açısından ziyade toplumlardaki yansımaları açısından değerlendirilmektedir. Sanat ise görünen gerçekliği temsil etmenin ötesinde bir anlama sahiptir. Sanatın yaratım süreci, genellikle görünen dünyaya dair nesnelerin görüntüsünün yansıtılmasından farklıdır. Ayrıca bu süreç, sanatçının iç dünyasını ve yaşadığı gerçekliğe karşı tavrını da yansıtmaktadır. Mitlerin gerçeklikle olan bağı, sanatın gerçeklik mantığıyla örtüşmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, mit ve sanat kavramlarının gerçeklikle olan bağlarının ortak zeminini tartışmak ve bu konuda soru işaretleri oluşturmaktır. Araştırmada sanat, mit ve gerçeklik kavramları üzerinde durulmuş ve birbirleri ile olan bağı, ana hatlarıyla ele alınmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında mit ve sanat kavramları, gerçek kavramıyla ilişkilendirilmiş ve sanat eserleri üzerinden tartışılmıştır. Makalenin oluşturulma sürecinde literatür taraması yöntemi ile elde edilen kaynaklar ile betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılarak “Sanat”, “Mit” ve “Gerçeklik” kavramları genel hatlarıyla incelenmiş ve sanat eseri örnekleri ile tartışılmıştır.
It is possible to define myths in different ways. However, to put forward a common definition, it can be said that myths are common messages about the origin of things and creation. For modern people, myths can be seen as fiction or fairy tales. However, the reality dimension of myths is evaluated in terms of their reflections in societies rather than the reality of events. Art, on the other hand, has a meaning beyond representing the apparent reality. The creative process of art is usually different from the projection of the image of objects of the visible world. In addition, this process reflects the artist's inner world and his attitude towards the reality he lives in. The connection of myths with reality coincides with the logic of reality in art. The aim of the study is to discuss the common ground of the connection between the concepts of myth and art and reality and to raise question marks in this regard. In the research, the concepts of art, myth and reality were emphasized and their connection with each other was discussed in outline. Within the scope of the research, the concepts of myth and art were associated with the concept of reality and discussed through works of art. In the process of creating the article, the concepts of “Art”, “Myth” and “Reality” were examined in general terms and discussed with examples of artworks by using the sources obtained by the literature review method and the descriptive analysis method.
