Bu çalışma, çağdaş Türk resim sanatında rastlantısallık temelli üretim süreçlerinin, yapıtın inşa biçimi üzerindeki etkilerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış olup, veri toplamada literatür tarama ve eser analizi yönteminden yararlanılmış, eserler rastlantısallığın yapısal inşa biçimlerine etkisi bağlamında analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada rastlantısallık, Dada, Sürrealizm ve Soyut Ekspresyonizm bağlamında değerlendirilmiş; alt yapıda kullanılan decalcomania, drip painting, grataj, frotaj, resist ve gestural painting gibi rastlantısallık teknikleri incelenmiştir. Araştırma, Ekrem Kahraman, Ertuğrul Ateş, Bedri Baykam, Mustafa Cevat Atalay ve Hasan Rastgeldi’ye ait toplam 5 (beş) eser ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucu, rastlantısallığın yalnızca yüzeysel bir etki değil, aynı zamanda kompozisyonun kuruluşunu yönlendiren bir unsur olduğunu göstermektedir. Sanatçıların, rastlantısal dokular ve lekesel oluşumları bilinçli müdahalelerle birleştirerek dinamik ve çok katmanlı bir yapı oluşturdukları belirlenmiştir. Çağdaş Türk resminde inşa sürecinin sabit ve önceden belirlenmiş bir düzen yerine, süreç içinde gelişen görsel veriler doğrultusunda şekillenen esnek bir yapıya sahip olduğu; rastlantı ile kontrol arasındaki etkileşimin özgün sanatsal ifadelerin oluşumunda belirleyici bir rol oynadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
This study aims to examine the effects of randomness-based production processes on the construction of artworks in contemporary Turkish painting. The research employs a qualitative research method; data were collected through literature review and artwork analysis, and the works were analyzed in the context of the impact of randomness on structural construction processes. Within the scope of the study, randomness is evaluated in relation to Dada, Surrealism, and Abstract Expressionism; techniques such as decalcomania, drip painting, grattage, frottage, resist, and gestural painting—used as randomness-based approaches in the underlying structure—are examined. The research is limited to a total of five artworks produced by Ekrem Kahraman, Ertuğrul Ateş, Bedri Baykam, Mustafa Cevat Atalay, and Hasan Rastgeldi. The findings indicate that randomness is not merely a superficial effect but also a factor that directs the construction of the composition. It has been determined that artists combine random textures and stain-like formations with conscious interventions, resulting in dynamic and multilayered structures. In contemporary Turkish painting, the construction process is characterized not by a fixed and predetermined order but by a flexible structure shaped through visual data emerging during the process. Consequently, the interaction between randomness and control plays a decisive role in the formation of original artistic expressions.
