An Examination of Typographic Arrangements in Interior Spaces of the Gastronomy Sector in Adana from a Graphic Design Perspective

For graphic designers, the decision and implementation of a typeface is a multi-stage process. Especially when considering cities and locations, such design decisions require much longer-term planning. Graphic design applications are implemented by considering multiple factors, including the venue's location, the services offered, its interior and exterior architectural designs, and its target audience. This research examines typographic designs, a research area within the field of graphic design, in terms of the interior designs of various gastronomic venues in Adana. The connection established by each letter, form, font choice, and color influences the emotional bond people form with the space. Typographic elements within the space have been identified as the most effective drivers of this connection. The sample was selected from cafes, restaurants, bars, and patisseries serving different segments in Adana, in accordance with the graphic design sample. The selected examples were evaluated within the scope of the graphic design field, using literature on typefaces, design combinations, colors, and typesetting styles.
