This study examines how geometric infrastructure and plastic elements are utilized within the aesthetic framework of Turkish painter and academic Ali Düzgün's works. It focuses on the artist’s approach to figurative abstraction, particularly the spatial construction of compositions centered on female figures and the expressive role of color from an aesthetic perspective. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through direct observation in the artist’s studio, document analysis of artworks (drawings and canvas paintings), and semi-structured interviews. Thematic analysis was used to evaluate the data, identifying aesthetic, formal, and cultural themes. Findings reveal that geometric structures in Düzgün’s works serve not only as formal design elements but also as narrative tools imbued with cultural and psychological significance. In his figurative constructions, the depiction of women emerges as a visual expression of collective identity, solidarity, and historical memory. The use of color enhances emotional depth through expressionist effects, while plastic values and surface treatment create a cohesive aesthetic structure within the figure-space relationship. This study is expected to contribute to the fields of art education, art history, and art criticism by providing insights into figurative abstraction, female representation, and the sociocultural dimensions of visual art.
