Visual arts have alternative forms of interpretation and expression as well as the concern of reflecting reality as it is perceived. In line with manipulative approaches and paradigms, especially in the representation of reality, art dynamics aiming at a different phenomenology by misleading visual perception are applied in various ways. The aim of the research is to examine and interpret visual illusions created through the representation of real space by means of imitation, focusing on the principles and indicators applied to deceive the eye, particularly through perspective within art, supported by examples of art works. In this context, it is emphasized that the role of the viewer who discovers the elements that create illusion is also important in terms of the functioning of deception, the descriptive relations between "reality" and "illusion" have been investigated, and misleading elements and approaches within the scope of painting art have been highlighted. The research, which was conducted with the scanning model, was mostly limited to examples in which a depth of space and three-dimensional effect was created on a two-dimensional surface with principles and elements such as perspective, space, rakursi, space, light-shadow, color, texture within the framework of the mission of deceiving visual perception. The research thus tries to present the conditions and indicators of the illusion, which is a kind of emulation by reminding the factors affecting perception in the art of deception, which has important principles that must be systematically followed, from various angles and tries to present their styles to the reader.
