Although there are many different definitions of what art is, it is a fact that works of art stimulate our emotions, make us think, and sometimes drag us into deep dreams. Whatever is the subject of works of art is the object of art. As an entity that people give meaning to, the object gains value by establishing a strong bond with the audience, reflecting deep thoughts and emotions in art. Artists can fetishize objects that have personal or social value by reflecting them in their works, or they can turn fetishized objects into art objects. Because fetish objects are not ordinary objects, they can challenge perception and expand the limits of creativity. The fetish object, which became more focused after postmodernism, is still interesting today. In this article, it will be explained that fetishism and the fetish object have an important place as a subject used by artists, in the light of the information obtained through historical method scanning.
