DEVELOPING A SCALE ON NEW MEDIA IN GRAPHIC DESIGN EDUCATION


It is known that art, which is considered to be as old as human history, has gone through various processes until today. Art and education, which is blended with the opportunities offered by information and communication technologies and constantly incorporates processes of change and development, continues to exist in a dynamic structure throughout history. With the invention of the printing press, the dissemination of information and communication processes have accelerated considerably compared to previous periods. The industrial revolution and the emergence of mass production in the ongoing process have witnessed irreversible developments in the world. Graphic design, blended with the opportunities offered by computer technologies, continues its development in the 21st century by being included in communication processes with the use of screens in almost every field and the spread of the Internet. Graphic design education, which has an organic connection with the fields in question, continues its transformation in parallel with the latest developments. With the developments in computer technologies, it has become possible to talk about the unity of graphic design education and new media. Based on this study; An attempt was made to develop a valid and reliable scale that aims to reveal the contributions of graphic design education and new media technologies to each other, possible problems and solutions to them.
