Müzelerin ilk işlevi ideolojiktir. Bunun amacı, müzeden yararlananlara ya da müzeyi ziyaret edenlere toplumun en yüce inanç ve değerlerini benimsetmektir (Artun, 2017: s. 50). Kurulacak müzelerin ilk amacı, doğaldır ki Türkiye’nin plastik sanatlar ortamına bir katkı sağlamaktır. Daha sonra da ulusal ve uluslararası düzeydeki bir tanıtıma yardımcı olacaktır. Bir sanat müzesinin ülkemizin sanat alanında var olan potansiyelinin ortaya çıkmasına yardımcı olmak, özellikle biriktirme üslubu ve çizgisi ne olacaksa ona göre uzman-uzmanlar tarafından belirlenen örnekleri toplamak; daha da önemlisi genç ve avangard, o denli de gelecek vaad eden bir sanatın peşinde olmak zorunluluğu vardır. Bunun için ülke çapında, ciddi duruşlara sahip sanatçıların atölyeleri tespit edilerek, inceleme altına alınacak, gerçekten kalıcı ve süreklilik gösterebilecek olanları müzenin arşivine dahil edilecek ve o andan itibaren değerlendirmeye çalışılacaktır (Eroğlu, 2018: s. 54). Müze, eğer olabiliyorsa mutlak surette sergiler düzenlemeye de girişip ve güncel sanat sirkülasyonunu ve hareketliliğini de yönlendirmeye çalışacaktır. Bunu yaparken çok seçici ve ciddi sanat bilimsel anekdotlara sadık kalmayı da ihmal etmeyecektir. Yaptığı her sergilemeyi mutlak surette bir arşiv malzemesi olarak görecektir. Bu doğrultudaki en önemli girişimlerden biri de, ülkemiz sanat ortamına örnek teşkil edecek yabancı sergilere de yılda bir kere yer vermek olmalıdır. Böylece müze, hem sanat ortamımız hem de kendi kurumsallaşması için gereken alt yapı oluşumuna destek vermiş ve görevlerinden birini daha yerine getirmiş olacaktır (Eroğlu, 2018: s. 55). Günümüzde sanat müzeleri yaratıcılığa katkıda bulunan bir kurum kimliği de taşır işte bu çalışmada da Tekirdağ’ın önemli müzeleri incelenerek, mülakat tekniği kullanılarak müzeleri ne kadar sıklıkla ziyaret edildiği ve ilgi gösterildiği incelecektir.

The first function of museums is ideological. The purpose of this is to adopt the highest beliefs and values of the society to those who benefit from or visit the museum (Artun, 2017: p. 50). The first purpose of the museums to be established is naturally to contribute to the plastic arts environment of Turkey. Then it will help a promotion at national and international level. To help an art museum reveal the potential of our country in the field of art, especially to collect samples determined by experts-experts according to the style and line of collection; more importantly, there is an obligation to pursue an art that is young and avant-garde, which is also promising. For this, the workshops of artists with serious stances across the country will be identified and examined, those that can be truly permanent and permanent will be included in the archive of the museum and will be tried to be evaluated from that moment on (Eroğlu, 2018: p. 54). If possible, the museum will definitely try to organize exhibitions and try to direct the circulation and movement of contemporary art. While doing this, it will not neglect to be faithful to very selective and serious artistic and scientific anecdotes. He will definitely see every exhibition he makes as an archival material. One of the most important initiatives in this direction should be to host foreign exhibitions that will set an example for our country's art scene once a year. Thus, the museum will support the formation of the necessary infrastructure for both our art environment and its own institutionalization, and will have fulfilled one of its duties (Eroğlu, 2018: p. 55). Today, art museums also carry the identity of an institution that contributes to creativity. In this study, the important museums of Tekirdağ will be examined and how often the museums are visited and interested by using the interview technique will be examined.
