ANALYSIS OF THE IMAGES USED IN HIS PAINTINGS DEPENDING ON THE CHILD'S LIFE IN TERMS OF COLOR, LINE AND COMPOSITION

Children integrate visual stimuli into their cognitive processes, storing them in memory and creating a visual language by utilizing fine motor skills. Impressions obtained through environmental perception are transformed into expressions and find their counterparts on surfaces. Therefore, examining a child's mental representations through images allows for a better understanding of their development. Art, which can be described as a visual communication tool that stimulates broad thinking in individuals, contains a highly complex arrangement. Comprising both linguistic and visual imagery, it simultaneously conveys clues to the viewer within the arrangement on the surface, leading to the interpretation of subtexts and reaching underlying meanings, bringing about experimental interpretations as well. In this context, this action that children use to express themselves shows itself with drawings that embody emotions. It is crucial that the images in the drawings, representing emotions related to the child, contain clues to the child's subconscious. In this qualitative research approach, children's drawings were analyzed through content analysis, focusing on both the development of cognitive skills and the reflections of emotions related to the subconscious, with a preference for psychoanalytic theory. Drawings with sufficient content were attempted to be explained through hermeneutic (interpretation-based) readings. The research aimed for in-depth analysis and descriptions based on sampling, without targeting statistical generalizability. The study focused on questions of how subconscious and unconscious states are transformed into certain images in children's drawings, what these images mean, and what contribution life stories make to these analyses. It resulted in the discovery of some findings that are considered dramatic and traumatic.
