FETISH AND JEFF MUHS STATUES AS READY OBJECTS

On the basis of today's art, there is an orientation in the deconstructivist approach, which is conceptual, criticizing and propositional. The main subjects of art are directed towards a common structure that is integrated with human, existence, gender, identity and ideological indicators. Conceptual art, in which man and many factors surrounding him are discussed; sometimes by applying with ready-made objects, produces works about questioning the individual's own sensory field or being a mirror to the individual.

It reveals the psychological dilemmas of human beings, the pains they experience and sometimes their burnout with human-related objects. Fetish object; written by thinkers such as Marx and Baudrillard, especially Freud, was seen as a reflection of human deprivation and was sometimes categorized as normal and sometimes abnormal. In this study; a reading was made covering areas such as woman, body, identity, gender, psychology. The use of the fetish object in art/sculpture and the channels of the fetish that will go beyond the object and enable the act of meaning and rethinking have been examined. A paper has been written on the meaning or meanings corresponding to the fetish concept of the object in the sculptures of artist Jeff Muhs, as an example of the use of fetish objects in sculpture, based on the fact that the fetishistic nature of objects can change according to time, place or different societies.
