LOUİSE BOURGEOİS: CELL SERIES

 Art is one of the oldest ways of people's desire to express their deepest feelings and thoughts, and artists strongly reveal this desire through their works. One of the artists who reflects this power in their works is Louise Bourgeois. Bourgeois, one of the important artists of the 20th century, has produced various works of art throughout her life of nearly a century. Among the most important works of the artist is the "The Cell" series, which she started in 1991 and completed before she died in 2008. This series consists of imaginary spaces, which we can define as rooms, each of which relates to the artist's life. Another important feature of this series, which is a unique work in which Bourgeois, who has an important place among female artists with her strong and original character, almost screams her experiences, is that it was made for the first time and by a female artist. Although the artist started the series from her personal experiences, it later became a universal narrative.
