CONSIDERING THE UNIQUE IDENTITY OF ABSTRACT ART IN TURKISH PAINTING

Abstract

           The abstract identity of Turkish Painting is important in terms of its originality. Abstract Painting has developed a unique identity in terms of the subject we discussed. In this article, we have discussed and evaluated the development dimensions and originality points of this identity. Purpose of the study: Turkish Painting, in its broad sense, has struggled to find its own identity throughout its entire history. We are talking about the development line of a bumpy art history, and Turkish Abstract Painting has a unique place in this search for identity and development. Abstract and abstraction reality have always influenced and shaped each other in the dimensions of Turkish Painting. The article is based on researching this. The problem of the study: In Turkish painting, the transition process from figure to abstraction and abstract always stands before us as intertwined processes. This should be considered as the reflection of the unique structure of Turkish cultural identity on plastic arts and especially on painting.
