Examining The Beginner-Level Violin Training in The Classical Western Music and The Classical Turkish Music


In this study, it is aimed to determine the use of violin which is used in performing the musics of different cultures and has become a universal instrument and accordingly the beginner-level violin training in the Classical Western music and the Classical Turkish music, reveal their differences and contribute to the violin training. Accordingly, we have determined resources related to the contents that are accepted to be common subjects such as violin grip, string grip, frets (notes) on violin strings, obtaining sounds from the violin, which are accepted to be beginner level although different approaches are followed in the process of violin training that is provided concerning the performance of both music genres which have different structures. We have also revealed similarities and differences. In addition, we have determined the situation related to violin training resources of the Classical Western music that are used in the beginner-level violin training of the Classical Turkish music and found some problems. Considering the findings acquired; we made suggestions concerning aimed at the beginner-level violin training of the Classical Turkish music.
