The analysis presented here is in fact only a part of a wider study of the behavior of interdisciplinary researchers. This research reinterprets the concept of “happy coincidences lant in the search for information, a phenomenon arising from both the conditions and the strategies, and the concept of Serendipity, which plays a role in the artistic creation process for the purpose of acquiring knowledge, even seen as a non-objective or purposeless component. This research is limited to the data obtained from the 1st and 2nd courses and the qualitative data obtained from 10 (ten) students taking this course at Erciyes University Institute of Fine Arts. The research is an unattended action research and the data is structured as a case study using observation and interview. The data were analyzed by content analysis. In this study, üş experimental lay phenomenon in the nature of the ıyla Serendipity olarak concept, both the visual thinking and material-based thinking structure overlapping sides with the help of literature support the research findings, the creativity process as a strategy to point to the problem that can not be defined in the context of the development of an application proposal tried to be made.
