There are many factors in the process of artistic creation. In experimental art (experimental art), these factors need to be seen or felt. Most of the time the artists make sense of these factors and put them in a context depends on their readiness. According to the level of readiness in an artist's life, it is very important for him to find the coincidence exactly when he needs it, to grasp it and to see it as a starting point and to discover ways to use it as a driving force. This discovery process may correspond to the term creativity. This process is also seen as a kind of information structure that progresses through m visual thinking bir and ”material based thinking da in the context of literature. The analysis presented here is in fact only a part of a wider study of the behavior of interdisciplinary researchers. This research reinterprets the concept of “happy coincidences lant in the search for information, a phenomenon arising from both the conditions and the strategies, and the concept of Serendipity, which plays a role in the artistic creation process for the purpose of acquiring knowledge, even seen as a non-objective or purposeless component. This research is limited to the data obtained from the 1st and 2nd courses and the qualitative data obtained from 10 (ten) students taking this course at Erciyes University Institute of Fine Arts. The research is an unattended action research and the data is structured as a case study using observation and interview. The data were analyzed by content analysis. In this study, üş experimental lay phenomenon in the nature of the ıyla Serendipity olarak concept, both the visual thinking and material-based thinking structure overlapping sides with the help of literature support the research findings, the creativity process as a strategy to point to the problem that can not be defined in the context of the development of an application proposal tried to be made. The role of Serendipity in the formation and development of skills in the process of artistic creation, such as the meaning of factors in the artistic creation process and the contextualization of the factors in the artistic creation process in the mobilization of students' readiness levels together with their materials and perceptions, has been discussed in particular in the visual and material-based thinking perspective.
